New Logo same support
Macmillan changed their logo (above),
to better represent the wide range of support and services
they offer to cancer sufferers, their relatives and friends.

The Great Milk (stout) Ride has long recognised the many
ways in which Macmillan offer support; indeed it was how the
idea of GMsR was born in 1993 (see About page). They will
continue to raise money in support of Macmillan. Individual
riders and team entries from as far afield as London, Lancashire
Doncaster and Newcastle-on-Tyne regularly attend; one year
there was even an entry from California. GMsR welcomes riders
from all parts to the showground
Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire, where excellent camping
facilities encourage families to stay for the weekend. It
is an all-day event, with barbecue, face painting, stalls,
bar tent and live bands to entertain spectators and riders
alike. To request packs and register
on line go to Register Page.
However The Great Milk (stout) Ride is an independant organisation, not a "Macmillan" committee and the new logo has been causing some confusion among our regular supporters and. We have therefore adapted the logo slightly to avoid this. It will now appear on all our posters, leaflets and at the head of each web page.
