The Great Milk (Stout) Ride
X-treme 25 as the name suggests is a twenty five mile challenge for the more ambitious riders, who will enjoy an additional FIVE miles, including a very steep initial section, diverting from the top Wath Road, by-passing Pateley Bridge, returning approximately 5 miles later to rejoin the Full Monty route.

The Route : Distance 25 Miles
The RouteMajor junctions are identified with a number (in a blue box) prefixed by ‘X’. Turn left out of the Showground. At Jcn X1 (Nidderdale Motors) turn right along Low Wath Road. At Jcn X2, turn right across the narrow bridge, past the Sportsman’s Arms and follow the lane to bottom of Silver Hill Jcn X3, which is a very sharp left hand turn followed by a steep uphill section. Halfway up the hill turn right at Jcn X4. Proceed further up the hill to Jcn X5, which is a left turn followed by a short stretch to Jcn X6. Turn right here, which is a straight descent to Jcn X7.Turn right here and proceed on to JcnX8. Turn right and descend to Jcn X9 (you will pass this junction again later) and turn left towards Summerbridge. Keeping to the main road proceed through Summerbridge past Jcn X10 and stay on the Harrogate road. Take extra care as you approach Jcn X11, which is a tight left hand turn going downhill. There will be a drinks stop on the right hand side after you’ve passed through Hartwith. Turn left at the T-junction at the end of the lane Jcn X12, and right at the top of the hill towards Brimham Rocks Jcn X13. At Jcn X14 join the Ripon - Pateley road and return to Pateley via Jcn X15 (right hand turn this time). As you come back down the High Street and over the bridge be prepared to slow down for the finish. Please Note: Marshals will be positioned at junctions and other potentially dangerous locations. They are there to assist with the safety of you and other road users. Please slow down or stop if a Marshal requests you to do so.
